A portal for the management of processes and the exchange of documents also and above all with external players during the entire lifecycle of the construction site, from the order form to final acceptance.

This is a summary of the project developed with ARXivar by the Lutech Group for Unareti – A2a Group, which on 20 October was awarded as excellence by the SMAU Milan 2020 Innovation Prize.

THE WINNING PROJECT

Unareti – A2A Group – is the single company for network services that manages the distribution of electricity and gas in an integrated and widespread manner. The company, with more than 1,500 employees, operates in around 200 Italian municipalities in seven regions with more than 23,000 km of network and serves more than 2,400,000 users.

The complexity and duration of site work requires the involvement of numerous parties, both internal and external to Unareti, between whom there is a constant exchange of documents, necessary for any site activity, to obtain authorisations and to certify the progress of the work. In addition, communication took place by phone and email to complete the paperwork.

The project involved the implementation of a portal, accessible by PC and mobile, through which the operators working in the process enter the data they are responsible for in relation to a site or a process: the output is a digital document that is routed to the operatordownstream in the process, who can use it, integrate it, approve it, sign it, produce another one, and so on until the work is completed.

The strength of the Digiworks project lies in the simplicity with which it makes it possible to exchange documents throughout the entire lifecycle of the site, even from a mobile phone.

BENEFITS

  • The 200,000 documents produced annually in digital format represent a reduction in costs and a lower impact on the environment (13,000 kg of paper and 12,350 kg of C02 saved per year).
  • The implementation of the portal required a standardisation of processes, there are significant time savings and increased efficiency widespread.
  • The notification and alert system facilitates the management of documents waiting for a digital signature or authorisation.
